  When we first came to Australia they made our transit to living here so easy, we had no problem getting a loan so we could set our selves up in a new house. The staff were so helpful with other personal accounts letting us know which ones suited our needs. When our car was stolen they were helpful in letting us refinance our personal loan so that we could buy another car. Overall they made us very welcome and their staff were really great.

  They have offset my loan against my savings account so even having the money in my account instead of paying extra off the loan saves me money, which means I can save money for the other things in life instead of using a credit card or borowing mo...       Full review 

  They have offset my loan against my savings account so even having the money in my account instead of paying extra off the loan saves me money, which means I can save money for the other things in life instead of using a credit card or borowing more money.   My grandfather was the first Westpac manager in our town in the 1930's and our family has banked with westpac ever since - we've certainly has some ups and downs over the years with various banking issues but overall I like this bank and I do feel that they make a point of really listening to their customers needs and do thir best to make those needs or requirements a reality.   I took out a personal loan due to bad luck and instead of upping my credit card limit I took out a personal loan cause the interest rates are slightly cheaper than a credit card. It's great. I had the funds to bury my mother and the bank were so helpful in giving me the loan making out like they cared and were doing me a favour but the truth be known they had dollar signs in their eyes.

  I applied for a Westpac Flexiloan for a debt consolidation, as I'll always have a debt of some sort. It's better to owe it to one place than a lot of others. I applied at 3.00pm and the money was avaialable at 6.30pm. I can pay as much as I want without being penalised and they greatest thing of all it's a revolving line of credit. I have been a Westpac customer for 10 years plus, their customer service is second to none, they are friendly, helpful, product knowledgeable and they have never given me bad advice.

  Like loans of any type, it is important to stay on top of it. I got really sick for some time and my bills became a thing of the past for a bit. Once I recovered, I had to fix up my debts and Westpac was the only bank willing to help me out. They allowed me to pay payments I could afford, they didn't default me for being behind and are allowing me to catch up still as we speak.   I initially wanted to combine a loan and credit cards that I had but was advised with a better and cheaper option with a Flexi loan. Works better for me and cheaper payment each month. Am now not using my credit cards at all and am better off.       Full review

  When you need them to stop deducting money from your account for a little while, you need to make sure they know what they're doing because 8 times out of 10 it wont happen. Money will continue to come out.       Full review
