Beem It offers cashback rewards through small businesses

Aussie online payment platform, Beem It, is introducing a new app component which allows shoppers to access rewards and special offers – plus the potential to earn cashback on purchases – when shopping with small businesses.

Beem It’s core offering lets users make secure instant bank account transfers, money requests and split payments without the hassle of swapping banking details. The new capability called Beem Rewards will be led by local businesses who sign up and create tailored deals for customers.

It’ll include a map view to help bargain hunters scout out local offers, and it’s all set to roll out in the first quarter of 2022.

Beem It chief executive Mark Britt said this addition to the digital wallet transitions its social payment functionality to one that also supports local businesses.

“After two really tough years, Aussies understand it’s time to back local businesses,” Britt said. “Beem Rewards gives businesses a potent new platform to connect with customers and foster better understood relationships.”
