Survive summer and find a cheap energy plan in your state
December brings with it a couple of colossal calendar events - there is the big family Christmas to prepare for and new year's eve plans to nail down - but above all, it signals the start of the great Aussie summer.
And this one is set to be a scorcher. The Bureau of Meteorology are predicting “above average temperatures”, which isn’t the best news considering recent Mozo data revealed that energy prices have risen by 29% over the last year.
The good news, however, is that Aussies can still save a truckload on their energy bill by switching to a better value plan, according to Mozo Director, Kirsty Lamont.
“Mozo’s analysis* shows the annual savings the average household can make by switching to the cheapest energy plan in the market have increased significantly over the past 12 months,” she said.
“This goes to show that even if you switched energy providers this time last year, there is a good chance that there is an even better deal out there.”
So crank the aircon, power up that electrical fan and stock both your fridges full of fresh food this summer, all-the-while avoiding any bill shock by switching to a cheap energy plan. Check out some of the cheapest options on the market right now in your state:
New South Wales
