If there’s one home loan lender that more and more Aussies are hearing about, it’s Athena - and it's not because of their unconventional advertising.

Between seriously low rates, zero fees and handy loan features, Athena have become a serious force to be reckoned with.

And it looks like our expert judges think so too, as they’ve just awarded Athena two 2020 Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Best New Home Loan and Best Home Loan Innovation for the Athena Variable Rate Home Loan

“Athena have prided themselves on being a lender that’s all for their customers by providing flexible features and highly competitive rates, so it made sense to award them with these two prestigious titles,” said Mozo Expert Judge, Peter Marshall.

“Plus, they’ve really made the effort to stand out from the crowd, thanks to their rate guarantee and loyalty bonus, which applies to both new and existing customers.”

Athena’s rate guarantee promises that existing customers will receive the same rate as new customers, which according to Marshall, is a perk that’s hard to come by.

“Sometimes lenders will reserve their best rates for new customers, but with Athena, existing borrowers can be confident in the knowledge that they are treated equally.”

Athena customers will also benefit from a loyalty discount where the interest rate reduces by 0.01% per year over five years as long as repayments are always made on time.
