Aussies can save up to $621 on travel insurance policies by shopping around
Travellers could find themselves paying double if they don’t shop around before buying a travel insurance policy, recent Mozo data analysis shows.
By comparing travel insurance you can save up to $621, which could instead go towards your holiday budget.
“Rushing into a travel insurance policy without shopping around can be a very costly mistake and set holiday budgets back by hundreds of dollars,” says Claire Frawley, Personal Finance and Insurance Expert at Mozo.

Compared to 2019, the cost of travel insurance has increased by 57%, Mozo data has revealed. But if you consider the rising cost of travel since nations began opening their borders, it's not surprising that the cost of living crisis has also impacted travel insurance policy costs.
Frawley says it's more important now than ever to ensure you’re covered before stepping onto a plane. With COVID still causing mayhem and flight cancellations becoming more common, it could be good to have insurance to protect you from any potential unforeseen mishaps.
