AAMI crowned Australia’s Best Home Insurer for 2025 

Thousands of scenarios analysed in the Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Home Insurance, highlighting this year’s top insurers

Today, Mozo announces the winners of the 2025 Mozo Experts Choice Awards for home insurance. Our experts crunched the numbers on thousands of scenarios to find which insurers offer the best value and highest quality home insurance in 2025.

It can be overwhelming to find the right home insurance with so many choices on the market. That's why the Mozo Experts Choice Awards are here to simplify the process.

"For many, knowing which policy offers the best value and coverage can be a real headache. Our analysis cuts through the confusion, giving Australians the clarity they need to protect their most valuable asset without compromising on quality," says AJ Duncanson, Mozo’s Data Director and Mozo Experts Choice Awards Judge.

To find the top policies, Mozo's experts reviewed thousands of policies from  41 different home insurers. This extensive research focused on finding insurers that offer the best balance of price and protection, helping homeowners get the most for their money.

“Through our analysis we found that Mozo award winning home insurance policies were $519* cheaper per year than non-winners”

*Based on analysis for the Mozo Experts Choice Awards for home Insurance 2025, using quotes for over 5,000 scenarios from July 2025. The indicative savings calculation is the difference between the average premium of Mozo winning policies and the average premium of all policies in the awards category.

To find the policies that offer the best value home insurance, our experts crunched the numbers on thousands of quotes.

“We assessed the value of each policy by comparing over 5,000 unique home insurance customer scenarios and 7,000 contents insurance customer scenarios. The policies that consistently ranked lowest in price for a wide range of consumers were recognised as winners in this year’s awards,” explains Duncanson.

“To identify the best quality policies in the market we scored policies on a range of different factors. The highest scoring policies offered the most complete cover and benefits,” says Duncanson
