Leading financial comparison site Mozo.com.au is excited to announce the winners of the 2024 Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Online Share Trading, recognising the platforms offering exceptional value for Aussie traders.

"We're excited to recognise the outstanding platforms in the online share trading space through these awards that have now been running for over a decade," said Peter Marshall, Mozo Experts Choice Awards Judge.

“After the careful evaluation of dozens of share trading platforms from over 30 different providers, Mozo has identified which platforms are the cheapest for casual investors, regular investors, and active traders.”

“These awards highlight the best of the best, identifying share trading platforms that offer the lowest brokerage costs, at every level of expertise.”

For the Regular Investor category, platforms were assessed on cost and features including live price data, market depth data and independent broker reports. Trade frequencies and amounts over a 12-month period were used to compare brokerage rates, with waivers considered for trade volumes, and eligibility restricted to platforms offering CHESS sponsored share ownership for ASX traded assets.

The Casual ASX Investor category evaluated platforms facilitating trades on the ASX for individuals making smaller, infrequent trades, with brokerage costs based on a $2,000 AUD trade per month over a 12-month period. The Casual US Investor category focused on platforms enabling trades on US stock exchanges for Australian-based investors, and brokerage costs were based on a $5,000 AUD trade per month over a 12-month period.

“Australian online traders can use the winners list to find the online share trading platforms offering the lowest price for investors needing varying levels of features,” continued Marshall.

"Unlike other awards in the industry, Mozo awards providers irrespective of any commercial relationship, nor do we accept fees for consideration in the awards. This ensures that Mozo highlights only the top performers in the industry that offer exceptional value for Aussie traders."
