Australia’s top car insurers in 2025

Today, Mozo experts reveal the top car insurers in the Mozo Experts Choice Awards for car insurance. Experts crunched the numbers on thousands of quotes from 53 insurers to find the best value and highest quality policies in 2025.

*Based on analysis for the Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Car Insurance 2025, using quotes for over 8,000 scenarios from July 2025. The indicative savings calculation is the difference between the average premium of Mozo winning policies and the average premium of all policies in the awards category.

Identifying the stand out insurers

Our experts analysed over 8000 car insurance customer scenarios to find which policies offered the best pricing for a wide range of customers.

“We ran three separate price comparisons. First, we looked for the very cheapest policies with no added extras. We then compared prices for policies that included extras like no-excess windscreen cover and car hire after an accident. Finally, we compared the cost of policies that were highly rated in our Quality Awards. The top performers in each of these comparisons were awarded Exceptional Value Awards,” says Duncanson.
