Spend Smarter: Australia’s top credit cards in 2025 revealed
Mozo Experts crunched the numbers on 236 cards from 63 providers to find the best value credit cards in 2025
31 July 2025

Today Mozo is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 Mozo Experts Choice Awards for credit cards. Experts sifted through hundreds of cards from 63 providers to identify the best value cards for Aussie consumers in 2025.
“Choosing a credit card can be a confusing and time consuming process with a huge range of rates and fees to consider, so it's important for consumers to make sure they are getting the best value they can,” says Peter Marshall, Banking expert and Mozo Experts Choice Awards Judge.
“Through our analysis, we’ve identified the best value credit cards to narrow down the search and help take the sting out of the search process.”
“In the last year we’ve seen credit card annual fees continue to rise* so it's important to review cards based on your needs and budget and make sure that if you’re paying for added features you use them. That’s why the winners in the low rate and no annual fee categories are great options for savvy spenders who want to avoid paying more than they need to,” explains Marshall
*We calculated the average annual fee of credit cards in the Mozo database and have observed a steady year on year increase since 2020
Identifying the best value cards
Low rate credit cards
Low rate credit cards are great options for Aussies who carry a balance. Winners in the low rate category were ranked highest by Mozo experts for their low cost over a five year period.
“The winners list spotlights low rate and low rate premium cards. Premium cards needed to offer premium benefits, such as purchase protection and concierge services, along with a great low rate. The winners list is a great starting point for savvy consumers who prioritise a low interest rate,” explains Marshall
No annual fee credit cards
No annual fee card winners needed to offer an interest free period of at least 44 days and of course, charge no annual fee.
“No annual fee cards make a great option for Aussies who want a competitive interest rate and a low cost credit card. These cards can be a great way to access free credit if the consumer is able to pay off their balance in full each month,” says Marshall
