So perfect! You can load up the credit card to make it a debit card, and pay no fees when using that money. I got the credit card for overseas travel, as they have no currency exchange fee. Staff are always more then helpful. I love this card. Full review

Bankwest are good if you're in WA. A bit difficult when travelling interstate etc as minimal branches. Also look out for small fees eg account and service fees! Full review

I dislike this product because the bank representative is not being honest by filling the information for me. She lied so my profile will look good regarding my maternity leave duration. And also she mislead me in thinking that the application process will only take a day or the latest a week. I didn't get a fast reply or feedback of my application I had to follow up myself. Terrible service...because of my bad experience I have closed my account with them.

I've been with this bank for almost two years and overall I've had the best customer service experience, second to none ever. With a BW's TeleNet Savings a/c 'TNS', linked to BW's Zero transaction a/c '0', I've got more than any other financial institute has ever given me in useful day to day benefits ever before and I struggled for years to find just such a product. The 'TNS' account pays generally above market interest per month which is an excellent way to begin savings which can later be transferred or linked to any banks higher % more saving incentive type a/cs. I've got a no charge - cheque book, Debit Mastercard, ATM card, even an overdraft for those one-off unexpected expenses without fees - I'd love to see if there's any other business out there that can match them apples and oranges. No way! What a setup!! Wait there...I've never been penalised when I've taken the minimum monthly deposit of $2000.00 out immediately and transferred it to another institution's a/c because of the flexible no-fee option to link any existing external financial institutes' account without penalty. If I had an unexpected expense come in such as a forgotten direct debit or private ATM withdrawal that I used a day before debiting my account outside real time, the bank has generally not penalised me and given me the opportunity to bank the funds after securely notifying me immediately via SMS. 'BW' have always been negotiable if ever I disputed a standard fee clearly in the PD or Fee Statements booklets (customers need to read) where the circumstance of 'real time' was at fault or non-cleared funds to cover any cheque payments but that occurs with every institute. When I need to go into the branch - about once/twice a fortnight it's after most banks are closed at 4pm or on Saturday or Sundays which is a big plus and branches are generally in decentralised areas of all cities. However the 24/7 internet and phone banking should cover that base. Fair's fair....you can't ever be disappointed with these two products.

TERM DEPOSIT PROS * rate is usually very competitive, when compared with other (major) banks; in fact, the term deposit rate is usually higher than other banks, especially for short-term (e.g. 2- to 3-month) term deposits. A good rate for short-term term deposits is ideal for people who are saving for a house/apartment, and you don't have to wait many months before the term deposit matures in order to get the money out. * always look around at the rates offered by other banks but don't discount smaller banks such as Bankwest: although they're not a Melbourne-based bank, their rates are competitive and product range is very good. CONS * more advertising is required when there are special term deposit rates. At times, I've missed out on a good rate because I didn't know they were offering one. In addition, any special rate (i.e. those on top of what is advertised in-branch) should be made prominent at the front of the branch so that a customer (actual or potential) knows what s/he can get. The times when I've got a special rate was by good fortune, when I happened to be inside the bank and a staff member has told me about it.
