Bankwest is customer focused with excellent staff who are willing to go above and beyond this is why they are excellent bank across all banking needs.
Bankwest is a good bank, I've been with them since 1998. They've always been upfront about fees for which there are none for a simple savings account. My only complaint is that the Armadale, Perth W.A branch closed without any visible notice of the branches upcoming closure nor was there any information left on the abandoned building as to the closest branch. I am going to need to open an account with another branch in the event I need to make a large cash withdarawal. I'll have to move it around with internet banking first from bankwest to either of the banks they do have in armadale. Also I would have opened my son a savings account at bankwest but its just not practical now.
Pretty easy to work with bank and moderately reasonable rates , sometimes wish the online banking and app was easier to use.

Not enough ATMs around my area or surrounding areas. I do like that they don’t charge an international transfer fee at all on my account.
Overcharged, too many fees, don’t assist when clients need it
I’m a loyal Bankwest banker for over 35 years. They have definitely improved over the years as far as 99% of the time you will receive notification letting you know about any activity currently going on double checking if it’s you that performed that activity. Another feature is that if a direct debit was being processed, if there was not enough funds to cover they give you anything up to 24 to deposit the necessary amount without being charged a fee or interest just in case you can cover it from funds elsewhere.
