Bendigo Bank launches 80,000 bonus Qantas Points offer

Do you take your rewards point stash seriously? Plan your spending to maximise your points earn? Then we’ve got good news for you.

Bendigo Bank today launched a new bonus point offer giving rewards lovers the chance to bag 80,000 bonus Qantas Points when they spend $2,500 within 90 days of getting a new Qantas Platinum Mastercard.

The card also comes with a 19.99% purchase rate and a $149 annual fee. To bag the bonus points, spenders need to apply for a new Qantas Platinum Card before 31 October 2018. The offer is also available on the brand new Bendigo Bank Qantas Platinum Business mastercard.

According to Mozo Director Kirsty Lamont, a bonus points offer can be a great perk when applying for a new piece of plastic, but Aussie spenders should carefully consider the true value of those rewards first.

“For rewards lovers, the trick is to make sure the value of any rewards on offer - including points, cashback, complimentary insurances or other premium perks - outweighs the cost of an annual fee if there is one,” she said.

Mozo’s calculations show that the 80,000 bonus point stash on offer from Bendigo Bank could score a cardholder up to 10 free flights between Sydney and Melbourne, or close to $500 in gift cards.
