Nectr is a new electricity retailer that has been collecting feedback on what Aussies care about the most when it comes to energy

According to Nectr, the average energy customer is:

  • Looking for something easy
  • Not afraid to switch
  • Wanting to be heard when it comes to our energy needs
  • Understanding of the need for a sustainable energy future.

“Not surprisingly, our team has discovered that offering transparency and a clear, easy-to-understand outline of their energy usage and how to pay is really important,” said Nectr’s chief strategy officer, Hannah Heath.

“That’s why we’re investing in the latest technology to offer simple tools for our customers to manage their energy needs. Plus, our local team is also available to support customers as they make the transition across to Nectr.”

Nectr also found that its Nectr Friends Green plan, the retailer’s GreenPower option, received a massive uptake in interest amongst customers.

Unlike regular GreenPower options which tend to be carbon offset, Nectr purchases Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and its parent company directly invests in Aussie wind, solar and hydro.

Who is Nectr?

If you’ve never heard of Nectr before, they’re one of the latest energy retailers to enter the  market with a clear-cut vision on making electricity affordable for Aussie households.

Nectr is part of Hanwha Energy, a global energy solutions provider that specialises in solar power, so it’s safe to say the Nectr team are big fans of renewable energy too.

“Not only are we campaigning for a sustainable, renewable energy future, socially aware Aussies are demanding smarter, greener power,” said Heath.

“We pride ourselves on doing things differently and if we can offer a new way of allowing customers taking charge of their energy, then we are here to help make the switch as easy as possible.”
