Australia’s most highly trusted home and car insurance companies revealed
It’s our pleasure to announce we’ve tracked down Australia’s most highly trusted home and car insurers in the 10th annual Mozo People’s Choice Awards, with Youi, NRMA and APIA among the list of winners.
If you aren’t up to speed with the annual Mozo People’s Choice Awards, they’re a bit different to our Mozo Experts Choice Awards, as winners are picked by everyday Aussies through a national survey.
This year we surveyed 3,690 customer’s attitudes towards 53 different home insurance companies and 48 car insurance companies they use, including how they felt the insurers customer service, the claims process, whether they’d recommend the insurer and crucially, how much they trust them.

“When things don’t go to plan, Aussie car and homeowners want to know they can count on their insurer and many rely on word of mouth, or the opinion of those around them to decide which insurer will treat them well. , ”said Mozo Data Services Director, AJ Duncanson.
“The Mozo People’s Choice Awards shines a light on those insurers which thousands of customers have recommended, based on things like friendly staff, a clear claims process and just a good overall experience with the company.”
Not only did the 7 home insurers and 6 car insurers earn the confidence of a large number of the thousands of Aussies surveyed, but most also walked away with a heap of other squeaky clean awards.
“As each of the insurers won in a number of other awards, like Excellent Claims Experience, Outstanding Customer Satisfaction and Excellent Customer Service, it’s not surprising that all these factors combined could have led them to the vote for Highly Trusted,” said Duncanson.
So on that note, we thought we’d shine a light on the insurers voted most trusted and friendly in the 2019 Mozo People’s Choice Awards by Aussies themselves.
