EnergyAustralia and Velocity team up to reward customers
EnergyAustralia customers can now earn up to 20,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer points on their electricity and gas plans.
Thanks to a new partnership between EnergyAustralia and Virgin Airlines, customers signing up to the leading power company will be able to add to their rewards points stash even quicker. The only other energy supplier in Mozo’s database that offered a similar rewards scheme in recent times was LumoEnergy, but that ended in 2016.
“Today’s consumer expects their energy retailer to deliver products and services that go beyond electrons – they want reliable, affordable and cleaner energy and they want real value from their relationship with us,” said EnergyAustralia’s Chief Customer Officer, Kim Clarke.
“That means doing things differently, whether it’s helping customers use less energy, offering carbon-neutral electricity or rewards for loyalty via the Velocity program.”

New EnergyAustralia customers signing up to the Anytime Saver plan before May 3 2017 can earn 10,000 Velocity points per account, plus 2,000 points each year on the anniversary of sign up.
Existing customers won't receive the signup bonus points, but they will receive the 2,000 anniversary points each year, as well as a $100 Virgin Australia Holidays Voucher.
Existing EnergyAustralia customers who aren’t already Velocity members can also score a bonus 1,000 Frequent Flyer points when they join the Velocity program and link their membership before May 3.
“Velocity is committed to rewarding members on their everyday household expenditure, be it petrol, groceries or when choosing their energy provider. This new partnership will not only reward Velocity members for sticking with EnergyAustralia as their energy provider, it will also help make their travel dreams come true,” said Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO Karl Schuster.
To be eligible to earn Velocity points, EnergyAustralia customers need to set up direct debit and signup to receive their energy bills online.
