These are the top 10 banks with the highest customer satisfaction for home loans, says Roy Morgan

By Ceyda Erem ·

These days, a home loan needs to have more than just a hot rate to win the heart’s of customers, the lender also needs to deliver a positive experience.

And according to new Roy Morgan research, there are ten banks that are doing just that.

A new survey of 50,000 Aussies found that ME Bank has the highest customer service satisfaction rating at 91.4% among home loan customers, followed by ING (89.3%) and Bendigo Bank (83.3%).

Other lenders who made the top ten were:

“Not that long ago it would have been difficult to believe that online lending institutions would be able to compete with, let alone beat, traditional lenders – which had branches situated all over the country - but that is exactly what’s happened,” said Roy Morgan CEO, Michele Levine.

Levine went on to say that the survey results could be a result of the growing number of Aussies taking their banking online.

“As people’s lives continue to shift online there is growing acceptance of not being able to visit a bricks-and-mortar branch, and therefore decreasing dissatisfaction associated with that,” she said.

ING, Bendigo Bank and CommBank are no strangers to being the crowd favourite though, as all three lenders took out at least one 2019 Mozo People’s Choice Award.

In fact, Bendigo Bank swept the board with a whopping seven 2019 Mozo People’s Choice Awards.

ING took home four awards, while major bank, CommBank, received a 2019 Mozo People’s Choice Awards for Best Mobile Banking Experience.
