Fixed Rate Home Loans

Owner occupiers and investors alike looking to lock in a fixed rate for 1-5 years will be able to do so with WAW Credit Union's Fixed Home Loan. Available on loans starting from $50,000 up to $2,000,000, the fixed rate offer allows buyers to borrow up to 95% of a property's value and choose between making principal and interest or interest-only repayments. In terms of features, the loan gives borrowers the chance to contribute extra repayments towards their loan (for free) and redraw those additional contributions later down the line via a redraw facility. Find out more about the loan, as well as the one-off fees involved, by checking out the linked reviews in the table below.

Variable Rate Home Loans

Home buyers or refinancers searching for a greater choice of features may be better suited to one of the variable rate home loan offers from WAW Credit Union. Available to owner occupiers and investors, the Flexible Choice Home Loan will appeal to borrowers after a full-feature loan, while the Back to Basics Home Loan is likely to be a good fit for those after a lower interest rate. Both variable mortgages are available on loan amounts starting from $50,000 all the way up to $2,000,000, with deposit options as low as 5% of the property's value on offer. Each loan has a number of different features and fees attached though, so to find out more about those check out the linked reviews in the table beneath.

Low deposit requirements

Borrowers looking to purchase a property sooner won't have to wait until they save up a 20% deposit, as WAW Credit Union has low deposit options (as low as a 5% deposit required) available with its fixed and variable rate offers. Just remember that loan options with lower loan-to-value ratios (LVRs) typically come with a higher interest rate, and borrowers with deposits below 20% are generally required to take out lenders mortgage insurance.

Stashing savings in an offset account is a popular way for mortgage holders to reduce the amount of interest they pay on their loan, so if that's a feature you'd like to have access to then you'll be pleased to know that it's on offer with WAW Credit Union's variable rate Flexible Choice Home Loan.

Happy most of the time

WAW stands for warm and welcoming, but could also stand for words are weak. They are friendly but not sure if I trust them.

The BEST customer Service!

The service we received from WAW could not be matched anywhere! From the front desk to the manager we were very happy with the loan we chose. Very competitive pricing was also attractive. However possibly an upgrade to the Internet banking to match some rivals would be the only criticism.

Trustworthy group

The credit union staff have over the years always been there for us with information, advice and sound strategies. They have never given us advice that benefits them at our expense. It's usually the other way round.
