ANZ Share Investing took over E*Trade. The website is very inferior to the one provided by E*Trade. For example the Portfolio display does not include purchase prices. Transferring funds is more difficult as is researching stocks. When we have contacted "Customer Service" it has been a slow, confused, and ultimately unsuccessful process. They do not listen or understand concerns and want to just copy and send off standard format material. When you do place a trade you receive multiple emails most of which are redundant. Only reason I have not shifted yet is inertia.
As a long term trader, I really appreciate Commsec's opportunity to trade shares. I only trade small amounts because of income, but as the fees are small, it makes it easier to participate. I find it easy to navigate the site, and have absolutely no reason to leave.
I have only recently joined St George Bank, but I am very impressed so far. The customer service I have received has been excellent, and the rates are competitive.
Assists local clubs and organisations with grants several times each year. Always willing to spend time explaining and helping me with their advice.
I'd have to admit, the Commsec platform is one of the best in the market. I've tried them all. Most of them are a complete waste of time. But when it comes to bang for buck, this share trading platform doesn't win. Which is why I had to give them a 1.
I like Commonwealth because it integrates with Commsec easily, making it quick and efficient to purchase shares, allowing me to diversify my portfolio and compare it to other assets easily. Cons to Commsec are that trading on foreign stock exchanges is harder and requires the user to undertake a different process.
Very easy to use for buying and selling shares. The mobile app is comprehensive enough, with research, recommendations, and news; and the website is fully featured. Set simple or conditional orders, create watch lists, and view performance history. Best of all: real time data is provided without a subscription.
