What's not to love about the Unity Bank Credit Card? With one of Australia's lowest ongoing interest rates at 9.99% p.a. (7.99% p.a. for the first six months), no annual fee for the first year (after which you will pay $60 a year) and up to 55 interest free days on all new purchases each month, it is a good all around credit card. Plus, this card took home a 2020 Mozo Experts Choice Award in the Best Low Rate Credit Card category.

Key features

Although Unity Bank used to be called The Maritime, Mining and Power Credit Union, you don't need to be employed in these industries to score a top deal - the Unity Bank Visa Credit Card is available to all Australian residents over 18 years.

For the first 6 months you will get a 7.99% p.a. interest rate on any new purchases. The rate goes up to 9.99% p.a. after the first six months but this is still one of the cheapest rates in the market. Plus, if you have debt on another card accruing interest, you can transfer this across and only pay 7.99% p.a. for the first six months.

Another top feature of this card is the 55 interest free days on new purchases. Many cards will only give you interest free periods if you pay off your balance in full each month. With the Unity Bank Credit Card all new purchases receive up to 55 days interest free each month, saving you money!

For the first year, the Unity Bank Visa Credit Card will also cost you nothing, after which you will pay an annual fee of just $60.

You will be able to use your Visa card anywhere in Australia and around the world where ever Visa cards are accepted.

Any catches

There is a limited branch network but internet banking and other easy payment options like gyroPost mean that going to a branch isn't necessary to manage your account.
