The Bank First Visa Platinum is a fantastic low-cost, high value credit card. The 9.59% purchase rate is one of the lowest around. There is also a low $99 annual fee and it comes with international travel benefits like free travel insurance and concierge, just bear in mind the 2.50% foreign exchange charge.

This product also took out three awards in the 2022 Mozo Experts Choice Travel Money Award, winning an award in the Travel Credit Card category, the Platinum Travel Credit Card category and the Low Rate Travel Credit Card category.

Key features

Bank First's Visa Platinum credit card is almost the definition of value for money. For an annual fee of just $99, customers get a low 9.59% interest rate. Plus, customers receive up to 55 interest-free days on purchases.

For jetsetting customers, the Visa Platinum has added benefits. Customers have access to the 24/7 Visa concierge service, complimentary travel insurance, and they can use the card at over 24 million locations worldwide. Even better, cardholders automatically become members of the Visa Entertainment program, which offers exclusive discounts on theatre, music and movie tickets. Just remember, if you do use the card overseas, you'll incur a 2.50% foreign exchange margin.

The only obvious downside to the Bank First's Visa Platinum credit card is the 5% minimum repayment amount, which is higher than the market average. This isn't a card you want to rack up a massive debt on.

Who is it good for

The Bank First Visa Platinum credit card is great for anyone who is looking for a high value, low interest credit card. And for customers that are all about interest-free days on purchases, this card comes with up to 55 days.
