The Bankwest Breeze Platinum Mastercard has 13 months interest free up front, plus a low ongoing interest rate of 12.99%. Plus, enjoy an introductory rate of 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 13 months with a 2% balance transfer fee to help you pay off existing debt. There is a $99 annual fee on the card.
The Breeze Platinum Mastercard is one of the few credit cards in the market that doesn't charge foreign exchange fees on purchases so you can put those savings towards more shopping or holiday fun. Many cards charge around 3% fees on foreign exchange purchases, so over a 10 day overseas holiday this can add up to several hundreds of dollars in savings.
You'll also get complimentary international travel insurance for you and the family if you use your card to purchase return tickets. Coverage includes unlimited medical, 6 month travel period, high $30,000 limit for loss, theft or damage and rental car excess.
Additional insurance coverage provided with Bankwest Breeze Platinum Mastercard is the relatively new purchase price guarantee insurance. If you buy an item on your card and within 21 days you see it advertised cheaper you can claim the difference. There must be a $75 or more difference in price and the maximum claim is $500 but one to definitely remember around sale time.
Other standard insurance coverage includes 3 month purchase security cover, up to 12 month extended warranty and interstate flight inconvenience insurance.
Who it's good for:
As long as you meet the eligibility requirements of the Platinum card, this is a great credit card to have in your wallet here at home and overseas.
Remember to setup automatic monthly repayment reminders with Bankwest "Easy Alerts", as there's a $25 late payment fee.
