Can't get a statement, can't close an account

Good luck trying to close an account with these guys. This has been a battle for me for years. They appear to have no regard for my time or Australian law. Their inability to service such a basic request - leads me to say, go with any other bank.

ME BANK Rocks!

Easy to use, no fee bank account. Great app that anyone can navigate and I get any ATM fees refunded. When I have had to call customer service it was an Australian call centre and they were super helpful! All pros and no cons with this account!

Years and years behind competitors

Aside from the couple of times I have just not been able to login for 1-2 days due to maintenance, this bank is right up there with the top banks of 5-10 years ago. - You can't pay with payID (this option has been coming soon for 1+ years since I asked) - The app is awful - They have no customer chat function (you have to call! lol). There is a 'Message' function in netbank but if you take time writing a message it doesn't send when you click submit because you need to login again and the draft message is just gone haha. - I applied for a credit card and it still hasn't arrived (it has been 12 days!). I'd say the biggest reason for the delay is that it took 6 days to be approved even though I am a customer so they already know how much money I have after expenses. - They emailed me to say the account was ready to use before the card arrived and that is not true (you need the card number to activate the online account)
