9 in 10 Aussie Dad’s pick presence over presents this Father’s Day: MyState Bank Study
Haven't bought dad a Father's Day present yet? Well, you might be able to save your pennies! According to a new MyState Bank research study, nine out of ten Aussie Dad's would hands-down pick a 'family experience' over any gift this Father's Day.
The study also found that 48% of Aussie Dad's have received a Father's Day gift they considered to be a waste of money, while half have received a gift they'd never even used.
Heather McGovern, MyState Bank's General Manager Digital and Marketing, said, "For those who would like to buy a gift for their Dad's this year, consider it carefully to avoid splashing out on something that is likely to end up being returned or shoved at the back of the wardrobe."
"Our research shows that the most impactful gifts are priceless and free," McGovern said.
It seems that presence is the best present to give dad this Father's Day. So, rather than blowing cash on lavish gifts, ditch your phone for the day and spend some quality time together instead. Trust us; the memories will outlast anything that you can wrap.
And here's how you can make the day extra special without spending a tonne.
