There are a range of expected inclusions that come with Stella’s pet insurance policy, including vet costs for accidental incidents and general illness, emergency pet boarding, vet costs for euthanasia and a 24/7 pet health hotline.
You can compare the features of a [provider] pet insurance policy in the table above. Always read the terms and conditions before signing up: these can be found in the product disclosure statement (PDS).
One of the exclusions to Stella’s pet insurance policy is the cover of pre-existing conditions. Read the PDS for more information and to find out about any other exclusions that may apply.
To make a claim with Stella, you can either have your vet initiate the claim on your behalf or you can complete and submit the online claim form that can be found by logging into your account. You will have to supply a copy of the invoice and your vet may be contacted for a copy of the clinical notes related to the case.
Yes, you can cancel your Stella pet insurance at any time by notifying Stella. If you cancel your policy, you will be refunded the premium and policy fee paid for the policy less a pro-rata proportion of the fees to cover the period for which insurance applied. Any statutory or government charges, taxes or levies will not be refunded.
If you pay monthly instead of annually, the process may be slightly different. Refer to the PDS for the full terms and conditions.
