Partners car broke down she pays $113 a month and they couldn’t even tow over 20km without paying more money. Couldn’t even hear the lady on the phone she was rude and frustrating and just hung up on us. This company is useless we’re changing asap
Qantas is underwritten by Auto & General Insurance. If you have to ever make a claim (heaven forbid) Qantas don’t want to know about it and abrogate all dealings to Auto & General which operates as an impersonal production line commodity broker where policy holders are treated like potential/suspected criminals. You are not treated with any humanity despite having experienced trauma. Sadly Auto & General’s mantra is to pay out as little as possible to their claimants with the ultimate goal of paying nothing. Their success is measured by whether they can “break” the claimant by using every tactic in the book to do so. Qantas sells this insurance to unsuspecting clients by using their “brand of trust” however be warned & do not touch this product. The policy you buy has nothing to do with Qantas. Any problems you encounter are redirected to Auto & General by Qantas. All Qantas are doing is collecting the commission on the sale of the policy. Do not go there! Be warned. Our house sustained major damage when arsonists lit a fire in an adjoining property and it has taken almost two years to resolve and is still ongoing. Our beds were on fire. Fortunately nobody was physically injured for which we are grateful. Don’t believe any of the hyperbole and rhetoric you witness on the television adverts for Auto & General. It’s just fantasy.
Provided a quote saying medical issues were covered. Then when went to purchase the insurance prior to the date of the quotation expiring, they said they'd changed the rules... They then put me through to customer service and said it was out of hours in that country and to phone back later. When I phoned back they wouldn't speak to me regarding the other passenger, even though it was okay for me to do the screening for them online earlier.
