Since 1905, The Royal Automobile Club of WA (RAC) has provided local service to the drivers of Western Australia. RAC offers a range of services to its one million members across the state, including car, home, travel and life insurance. In fact, RAC covers the largest area of any automotive club in the world.
Plus if you need any more convincing, this insurance provider received no less than 4 Mozo People's Choice Awards for both car and home insurance in 2023!
RAC are credible and their “saturate” marketing technique works. In addition RAC has shown it cares about WA and safety on our roads. However their premiums are not as competitive and, in my experience and some that I know, RAC will try to wriggle out of paying out. It also is known for ripping off young drivers with high excesses without justification and they don’t care if you don’t like it. So essentially they look good in front of the cameras but in reality they are there to make profit and don’t really care.
I have the RAC insurance company for all my insurance policies. I have been with them for a long time, and They have always handled my claims and queries in an excellent manner.
I bought insurance to travel for holidays. My mother died and I have to come back. I provided all information as required include cause of death, date etc. But they refused to approve the claim. Very bad service. Do not ever take RAC travel insurance or if any travel insurance under written by Tokio Marine company.
