Our verdict

Judo Bank could be a good option if you’re looking to lock your cash up with a high interest rate. This online only bank has been a winner in the Mozo Experts Choice Awards for multiple years and most recently took home a win in our 2024 Term Deposit awards.

So what makes Judo Bank a compelling provider? Judo Bank has consistently offered the highest term deposit rates across a range of terms we track. With Judo, you can lock your cash away for as little as 3 months up to 5 years. Savers can also snag a 0.10% bonus rate if they roll over a deposit at maturity. However, customers can also choose to have their principal and interest paid into an external bank instead.

Setting up a Judo Bank term deposit is straightforward too. Savers need to be 18 or over, have Australian citizenship or permanent residency, and provide two forms of ID (current Medicare card, Australian driver's license, or Australian passport). Keep in mind that as a branchless provider, the entire application process is completed online.
