I’ve been with Allianz for my comprehensive car insurance for a while now, and overall, it’s been a decent experience. One of the big pluses is that they offer really good coverage—everything from personal property to accidents and theft is taken care of, and they even include a hire car option if your car’s out of action after an accident. I also appreciate the emergency repairs coverage, which has saved me a few headaches. However, the premiums aren’t the cheapest, especially if you’re a young driver or living in certain areas. I had to claim once after a fender bender, and while they did handle everything, it took longer than I expected to get my car back. If you’re after speed and quick resolution, you might get a bit frustrated waiting for parts and repairs to be sorted. On the whole, though, Allianz gives me peace of mind with their level of cover, and I feel like I’m in safe hands. Just be ready for the possibility of longer claim times and slightly higher premiums compared to budget insurers.
I have never put in insurance claim for years and when I did it was promptly rejected. My induction stovetop was cracked and Allianz tried to deny us a replacement one on the cheaper model. Did not negotiate or include delivery or installation costs. Allianz was misleading and deceptive. Poor customer service being put on hold constantly. They did not listen and had all the power to reject my claim. I am in the process of making a formal complaint. I have never been happy with them. The $600 excess is exorbitant and unnecessary. Do not trust Allianz.
Purchased international travel, had to cancel for life threatening medical, was not till December. They refuse to reimburse the full deposit. I will not recommend this Company at all. This insurance was part of the ANZ credit card !
