Bankwest is the bank best known for ‘Making Banking Easier’, an initiative which aims to make banking a more positive experience. Originally from Western Australia, Bankwest has attracted thousands of customers around the country with its competitively priced products such as the Hero Saver. In late 2008 the bank was bought by the Commonwealth Bank, who have promised to retain the Bankwest brand.
In 2020, Bankwest were also named a Mozo People’s Choice Award winner in the Customer Satisfaction - Credit Cards category. BankWest have been great to deal with in terms of customer service. The downside to using them is their lack of physical branches, meaning it can be tricky to deposit money free of charge. The wait time on phone lines is quite average (usually around 20-30 mins) but the customer care team are very friendly and happy to help.
it’s always been friendly. Staff never had a problem with anything there. The only thing is now they’re closing down sorry to see it. Go but yeah been a good bank all round when I had money taken out of the account straight to it no dramas and next couple of days I had it back, very good sorry to see you go
A could credit card to use on overseas travel
Bankwest was a champion bank but now that The Commonwealth bank of Australia has taken it over this bank will soon be no more. It is not a customer oriented bank but now it is only a shadow of its former self. It’s greed and avaricious conduct of all its corporate members is disgraceful and disgusting and they will shamelessly destroy the good reputation that the bank once held.
