From small beginnings as a Queensland agricultural bank, Suncorp has grown to become Australia's sixth largest bank. Today Suncorp provides term deposits, savings accounts, home loans and other financial services to over 800,000 customers through 178 retail outlets, 680 ATMs, 46 Business Centres, online banking and 24-hour call centres. Suncorp's branches are spread mainly throughout Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales, but are expanding into other states.
Plus it won a 2023 Mozo People's Choice Award for Excellent Customer Service and Internet Banking Experience.
I like Suncorp Bank for a few key reasons. First, they offer a wide range of financial services, from home loans and savings accounts to insurance. It’s convenient having everything in one place. I’ve also found their interest rates to be pretty competitive, especially for home loans and savings accounts, which is important to me. Their customer service has been a positive experience, and I find their online and mobile banking platforms easy to use. It’s quick and simple to manage my accounts, pay bills, and transfer money. On the downside, I’ve noticed that some of their accounts have higher fees compared to other banks. This can be frustrating if you're not careful about which account you choose. Also, their branch network is somewhat limited, so if you prefer going into a branch for banking, it might not be the most convenient option depending on where you live. Another thing to watch out for is that while their interest rates are competitive, they can fluctuate, which might not always be in your favor. Lastly, the loan approval process can sometimes be slower, which can be a hassle if you’re applying for a home loan. If you’re thinking about Suncorp, I’d say the product variety and competitive rates are great, but definitely look at the fees and make sure there's a branch near you if that’s important.
I have been a customer with Suncorp since they were called Metway. I have had numerous mortgage accounts, saving accounts and a business asset line with them, I have now retired and sold my business, however now have a growth saver account with them with a very competitive interest rate. I have always received great customer service and have also held many insurances with them. I will highly recommend Suncorp.
Easy to deal with and transparent. Great service and had no issues with the bank.
I have been with Suncorp for many years and I have never had any issues with the bank or with my card. I have mine linked to qantas points that helps me and my family save points to be able to have a family holiday each year or save for a bigger international holiday in the future. The only con is the interest rate although I have never been charged any interest as I have it setup that payments are on time.
I love Suncorp, not only did I work for them over 20 years ago however the branch at New Farm QLD on Merthyr Road @ Merthyr Village are very accommodating and helpful.
