We have been with Suncorp for over 7 years now. They have been good to us, however they have closed all their branches except one that is over an hour away from us so it is hard to complete things if required to go in to the branch. However they have updated their internet banking options and a lot can be completed over the phone. I called about our interest rates and they were lowered considerably.
Whilst the end result was very good, it took until late September 2020 to complete a claim on an event that occurred on the 21st of January 2020.That is eight months! Not a big problem but inefficient. Three times a pair of inspectors visited and the second and third inspectors took similar photographs to the preceding pair. A management delay caused by "doubling up" of inspections, each being a couple of weeks apart. There are very minor items missed that do not bear mention. Overall a good result, thanks.
I've been with Suncorp for many years as well as other banks and they are always great to deal with. Just a better bank offering better interest rates.
Fixed interest rate at around 15% was ridiculous. Plus monthly account keeping fees. When compared with others I was disappointed.
