ART’s High Growth option celebrates a decade of top performance

A runner crosses the finish line and busts through the ribbon, with her arms in the air and joy on her face

The ART High Growth option from Australian Retirement Trust (ART) is the highest-performing investment option over the last 10 years to 31 May 2024, according to the SuperRatings SR50 Growth Index

It comes off the back of ART delivering double-digit returns on its High Growth superannuation option for the second year in a row, surging 11.3% over the 2023/24 financial year.

ART Chief Investment Officer, Ian Patrick said the fund is proud of its continued outperformance of the SR50 Growth Index.

“Having Australian Retirement Trust’s High Growth option cemented as the top performing option over the last 3 and 10 years in the Super Ratings SR50 Growth Index is fantastic news for our members, more than 1.4 million of whom are right now transitioning to this high performing investment strategy.

“The performance of returns over a 10-year period, in particular, is crucial, as it reflects the stability and growth necessary to help our members be well-prepared and financially secure as they approach retirement.

“This result is a credit to our investment team who remain focused on building diversified and robust portfolios. Australian Retirement Trust’s High Growth option has outperformed the Super Ratings SR50 Growth Index over 8 of the last 9 years and the power of compounding that outperformance has led to this exceptional result.

“As one of the nation's largest funds, we continue to look where our strengths lie and play to these to focus on delivering strong long-term returns for our members.”

Performance is key to maximising your retirement funds

When it comes to superannuation, the performance of your fund can play a big part in maximising your retirement balance.

When you compare super funds and investment options, keep an eye on past performance, as even though it doesn’t guarantee future results, it’s a useful way to identify funds that consistently perform well.

But performance isn’t the be-all and end-all of choosing a super fund. You’ll want to consider the impact of fees on your balance, if getting life insurance through super is right for you, and whether or not you’ll be making voluntary super contributions.
