For many Aussies, a credit card should be more than just a shopping companion, and if this sounds like you then you may have already considered applying for a rewards credit card

But since no rewards lovers are alike, finding a credit card provider who nails every kind of rewards perk can be tough. Or is it?

Some things just look better in platinum, sort of like the ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card. With this prestigious piece of plastic, you’ll earn 1.5 ANZ Rewards Points per dollar spent up to $2,000, before it drops to 0.5 points per dollar. What’s even better, if you spend $2,000 on eligible purchases in the first three months, ANZ will treat you to a massive 50,000 Bonus ANZ Points, plus give you $50 back! There’s also six complimentary insurances up for grabs, including travel insurance and purchase protection insurance. And to top it all off, the ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card comes with a reasonable $95 annual fee.

Although there are no rewards points available, you’ll have access to a range of benefits like concierge service, the ANZ wine club and Visa Entertainment platform and complimentary insurances. And while there is no annual fee in the first year ($87 after), ANZ will again waive the charge if you spend more than $20,000 the following year. You’ve even got the option to get rid of lingering debt, as this card also features a 0% balance transfer rate for the first 18 months.
