Aussies to take solar energy into their own hands by becoming investors

The saying goes ‘if you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself’ and that’s exactly what many Aussies are planning to do when it comes to solar energy.

With the admission of new laws, Aussies can now buy stakes in start up businesses and invest in their own people-powered solar energy retailers, like DC Power and Co.

Energy customers with solar panels can buy $50 investment parcels and receive free solar performance checks and advice. However, Aussies not on a solar plan can also invest.

“We thought ‘why don’t we make the customers the owners’ because we are all in this together,” said DC Power and Co co-founder, Nic Frances Gilley.
