How to get renewable energy in New South Wales

Renewable or green energy has slowly become the talk of the town when it comes to the future of electricity.

According to the Clean Energy Council Report, renewable energy accounted for 17% of the total electricity generated in Australia in 2017.

There were also 17 renewable energy projects constructed in 2017 across the nation and 34 projects that were under construction by the end of 2017.

And with the Australian Electricity Market Commission (AEMC) predicting residential electricity prices to fall by 6.2% over the next two years thanks to wind and solar generation, it’s no wonder that more and more Aussies are considering a more cleaner electricity source for their home.

But whether it’s switching to a GreenPower plan or installing solar panels on your roof, every Aussie looking to go green with their power needs to start with a provider.

“Depending on the provider, they might offer you a plan with a GreenPower option instead of a standard electricity plan,” said Mozo Energy Expert, Nathan Warne.

“It might be a good option if installing solar panels isn’t in your budget, because you’ll be offsetting your electricity use with a clean electricity source and supporting renewable energy.”
