I took out a World2Cover policy to cover a ski trip to New Zealand. On my way home from said holiday, the airline failed to load my luggage onto the plane, meaning I was delayed in receiving it. This meant I had no luggage for my next trip which I was taking the following day and as a result had to replace the entire contents of my luggage. Although the policy was advertised as up to '$10,000 cover for lost, stolen or delayed' luggage, World2Cover refused to cover even a proportion of the amount I was owed, even citing in their reasoning section '3C Luggage - If You have to buy essential clothing and personal items during Your Trip because Luggage carried by Your Transport Provider is delayed by more than 10 hours, We will pay up to the limits shown in the table below.' They specified in their reasoning that in fact they only cover lost or damaged luggage, and not delayed. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Very disappointed with the World2Cover travel insurance product. My experience was totally frustrating when making a claim. It appeared to me the company line is to continually say NO and rely on the customer to lose patience with the process and give up. No, l would not recommend using the World2Cover travel insurance product.
