March 2022 Financial Checklist

March 2022 Financial Checklist

Summer’s over, and Autumn’s finally here – It’s March, folks! And boy, let me tell you, we are in for a busy month ahead. With that being said, I give you your March 2022 Financial Checklist!

1. Get covered this flood season

Aussies on the east and north coast have copped some extremely heavy rainfall over the past few years, largely linked to La Niña weather patterns.

Right now, we’re in the midst of another massive downpour that has led to devastating floods across the country – making now a good time to read up on home flood insurance.

If you’ve been affected by the floods and require assistance, then here are some helpful resources.

2. #BreakTheBias: Celebrate International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is coming up on the 8th of March. This year’s theme, #BreakTheBias is all about celebrating women’s achievements, raising awareness against bias and taking action towards equality.

In celebration of this special day, go check out these incredible women who are killing it in finance!

3. Check in with your financial goals

Well, we’ve officially reached that time of year when people start slacking off on their new year's resolutions. So, why not take a moment to see how you’re tracking along with any financial or other goals you’ve set for yourself and then look for ways to help keep yourself accountable.

Say your goal for this year is to cut back on any frivolous spending. One way to work towards this could be to track your spending with a budget and savings app.

4. Embrace the luck of the Irish this St. Patrick’s Day

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up on the 17th March, you might be hoping that some of that “luck of the Irish” will rub off on you (and your bank account). But while you’re holding out for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, there are plenty of ways you can create your own financial luck.

The secret to being a savvy saver is to always shop around. Go through all your current financial products (like your home loan, credit card or car loan) and run a free product comparison on Mozo to see whether you could score a better deal.

5. Get organised this Pisces season

Yeah, yeah – we know. An organised Pisces is like a fish out of water (pun intended). But according to our mystical Mozo Magic 8-ball, ticking off those tedious life admin tasks is what’ll help get you ahead this year, Pisces pals.

Sort through your retirement plans or super once and for all to ensure you’re getting the most bang for your buck. It’ll also help give you some peace of mind in knowing your future has been taken care of.

Well, folks, that’s another financial checklist done and dusted. Catch us back here next month for your April 2022 Financial Checklist. Until then, you can head on over to our life & money hub!
