Resi home loans

As part of the Yellow Brick Road group, Resi is a pretty niche operation. Is it interested in credit cards? No. How about travel insurance? Nope. Macrame and cooking shows? Double nope. Resi is a home loan specialist - which means mortgages are all it does, and it does them well. That means that when you’re shopping for a home loan with Resi, you’ll have heaps of options on offer from a lender who knows the game inside and out.

Fixed Rate Home Loans

If you’re looking for variety, you’ve come to the right place! There are heaps of rate tiers available on the two fixed rate home loan options from Resi, and which one you choose will depend on your LVR, whether you’re investing or living in the home, how much you want to borrow and whether you want a principal and interest or interest only loan. Mortgages are available starting from $200,000, and you can borrow up to 95% of the property’s value, depending on which rate tier you choose. All the options come with the use of an offset account and fee-free extra repayments, but there are a few key differences. Opt for the Flexi Options Home Loan, and you’ll get unlimited additional repayments, but you’ll pay upfront fees for application, legal and valuation costs. Go for one of the Smart Pro home loan offers and your extra repayments are capped at $20,000 p.a. and you’ll pay legal and valuation fees, plus an ongoing yearly fee on some options.

Variable Rate Home Loans

You thought there was variety in the fixed rate home loan options from Resi? Well, the range of variable rate home loan offerings is even wider. Depending on which option and which rate tier you choose, you can borrow up to 95% of the property’s value, starting from $30,000. No matter which option you choose, you’ll have the use of some great flexible features, including unlimited fee-free extra repayments, a free redraw facility and the option to split your loan between variable and fixed rates. Keep an eye on the fees when you choose a Resi variable rate home loan, as some offers come with only upfront fees while others also incur a yearly, ongoing service fee. The Flexi Options offer is the only one with an upfront application fee, but in return, you’ll get the use of an offset account to cut back on interest costs.

Dishonest on fees

I urge anyone considering using Resi, please find another as they charge fees without consulting you even though they say there would be no fees. When the matter is raised they are quite offensive and refuse to resolve the matter.

Terrible service, too slow

While Resi was great to get a loan through in the beginning, now that I am selling they are dragging out the release of the title, so much so that it may look like I might lose the sale. It has been 8 months of he said she said, between the conveyancer and Resi Home loans. Not good enough.
