If you’re after a no-frills, comprehensive car insurance policy and don’t mind managing your insurance online, then Bingle Comprehensive Car Insurance could work for you. This policy packs the most critical aspects of comprehensive cover into a seriously affordable package for those with the tightest of budgets.
Winner of a 2023 Mozo Experts Choice Award for Exceptional Value Car Insurance.
As an online company, Bingle saves on the overheads associated with big branches and instead focuses on delivering a nifty online insurance experience for its customers while keeping premiums low. You can lodge all claims online on the spot and then track progress digitally.
But don’t let Bingle’s lack of bricks and mortar branches fool you, this comprehensive car insurance policy really comes to your aid in the event of an accident with towing, emergency accommodation and emergency transport costs all covered as standard (make sure you check the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for limits to this cover). You can also rest easy knowing that if your car keys are stolen, Bingle will cover the costs to replace them too.
There are also a few features that aren’t covered as part of Bingle’s standard Comprehensive Car Insurance policy. If you’d like the added security of new car replacement or to have the costs of a rental car covered after an accident or theft, then you’ll need to elect for those features as additional extras.
This policy represents a great low cost option for those who want to be covered in the event of an accident but don’t mind going without some of comforts associated with more expensive policies. Bingle Comprehensive Car Insurance is also a really good option if you enjoy managing your insurance online and don’t mind the lack of physical branches.
Just be aware that this policy comes with a $600 young driver excess even if they are listed on your policy (and up to a $1,950 unlisted driver excess), so make sure you trust any drivers under the age of 25 who might be getting behind the wheel of your pride and joy.

Cheap competitive cover in an expensive market. Have not had an accident and needed to claim so I cannot review this process. But every other insurance provider wanted to charge me upwards of 2.5k-3k, whereas I was able to renew my policy and increase my kms travelled for no extra cost (1.1k).

Before I dive into this review dear reader, I must bring your attention to the concept of irony or coincidence, which roots in the Greek comic character Eiron, a clever underdog who by his wit repeatedly triumphs over the boastful character Alazon. Thus concept played an almighty part in the story I'm about to tell that forms the basis of this review. It begins with a man who has not had a car crash in over ten years, seemingly indestructible, an absolute Houdini on the roads. It's been so long the man has completely forgotten that a car crash is even possible, rather the car drives itself from origin to destination like it's bolted to some ever-changing rail line. One fine morning after sipping his coffee this man ventures down to the letter box to collect the mail, and notices a particular envelope, slightly heavier than normal. The man opens the envelope and sees his car insurance bill staring at him with utter disdain. The man scoffs at this, indicating this can't be right. Me!? the best driver in the county, forced to pay this much for a seemingly unnecessary service? This cannot be, there must be an alternative. One quick Google search later and the man comes across this company, a company with a quite frankly unappealing name that has promising rates that seem more acceptable to the best driver in the world. However, these rates seem too good, so the man dives into the fine print, alas no red flags… what is this sorcery? A swift 45 minutes later and the man has officially signed with this new provider, a weight lifted off his shoulders as he is no longer subject to the restraints and absurd costs of his former provider. Now dear reader, here comes the irony promised at the beginning of this unnecessarily long note. Not two weeks had passed since changing providers, on a fine sunny Tuesday the man who was running his daily errands was met with what can only be described as pure incompetence. Yes, that’s right… a CRASH! Turning right in a hurry to beat the oncoming traffic, the man collides (in slow motion) with another driver who’s pulled out from obtaining his morning coffee at the adjacent cafe. Carnage… screaming… sirens… not really. A slight dent on each car's front corner. Nonetheless! The man was flabbergasted. Me!? It cannot be. The best driver in the world was undone by this careless buffoon. The man was worried. Small yet expensive damage, new insurance provider, with no idea what to do next, the man naturally ventures to the company website in search of answers. After feeling utterly lost, the man, surprisingly found the website easy to navigate, and within the blink of an eye had submitted a claim and was told to await further instructions. Eventually, he received instructions to find a repair place for the car and choose from a list of nearby locations. Again, the choices were abundant and provided only convenient times. Within three days the car was in the repair shop, it felt like a blink of an eye. There it was, damaged, sad, irreparable. And then… like brand new! The wonderful staff even offered to cover the man's transport to and from the repair location. If you’ve made it this far it’s become apparent that the man was clearly impressed with his new insurance provider, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for basic cover without any special requirements.

Never ever recommend this low-grade company. I paid for my car insurance and had to cancel right after because I found a better option from another company. They automatically sent me an email that said the refund would be processed in 5 business days. But, I didn't get any money back it's already been 3 weeks. This is so frustrating and annoying. There is no one to talk to and ask because this is an online car insurance company. Never trust this company. Never !!!
