For the second year running, Virgin Money has been crowned a winner in the Mozo Experts Choice Insurance Awards.

The insurer has continued to shine as a top value-for-money provider, scoring a medal in the Exceptional Value awards category on both occasions.

This year, the Mozo expert judges analysed 56 home and contents insurance policies using more than 15,000 customer quotes. They found Virgin Money’s policy was one of the consistently lower price options compared to similar products.

When assessing policies for ‘value’, the judges were looking for options which provided extensive coverage while keeping premiums as affordable as possible. This is to ensure insurance customers looking for cheaper options find the right level of cover for their circumstances as well as their budgets.

Get to know Virgin Money’s award-winning policy below:

Virgin Money Home & Contents Insurance
  • Up to 30% buy-online discount on your first year's premium
  • Online policy management
  • Flexible payment options

As a top-value winner in Mozo’s Experts Choice Awards, you can expect affordable, comprehensive cover for your home and belongings with Virgin Money. The price tag is even more attractive with a 30% discount in the first year if you apply online.

Before any option inclusions come into the equation, you’ll be sorted should ten major events impact your home including fire, flooding, theft, burst pipes and glass or ceramic breakages. When determining what’s insured as your ‘home’, this policy includes a wide range of items like paving, jetties, car ports, clotheslines and fixed appliances. However, some things like above-ground spas or pools, gardens and lawns, retaining walls and on-site caravans aren’t covered.

There’s also an impressive list of contents cover. This includes up to $3,000 for computer software and gaming consoles, $12,000 of home office equipment, $5,000 in total for watches or jewellery and $2,000 for collectibles or memorabilia.

You can choose to pay your premium monthly or fortnightly instead of annually if that suits your budget (just remember it comes with a small processing fee). And you can manage your policy online 24/7 using the Virgin Insurance Hub.
