Virgin Money takes out prize for exceptional value home insurance 2023
For the third year in a row, Virgin Money has been crowned a winner in the Mozo Experts Choice Awards for their home insurance offerings.
The insurance provider has continued to shine as a top value-for-money provider, scoring a medal in the Exceptional Value Home & Contents awards category on several occasions.
In September 2022, the Mozo expert judges analysed 61 home and contents insurance policies using more than 5,000 customer quotes to find the winners for 2022-2023. The winners in the Exceptional Value category had prices that are more often amongst the lowest, when compared to other similar products, whether you’re insuring your contents or both your home and contents.
When assessing policies for ‘value’, the judges were looking for options which provided good coverage while keeping premiums as affordable as possible. This is to ensure insurance customers looking for cheaper options find the right level of cover for their circumstances as well as their budgets.

Virgin Money’s Home and Contents Insurance policy provides cover for damage caused by a number of situations, including fires, storms, earthquakes, theft and vandalism. What’s more, if your home is made uninhabitable by an insured event, Virgin Money will provide emergency temporary accommodation for up to 12 months (up to 10% of the sum insured).
The cost of repairing or replacing certain valuables is also covered. Under the policy, jewellery is insured up to $1,000 per item or set (up to $5,000 in total), home office equipment is insured up to $12,000, and tools of the trade are insured up to $2,000. The policy also covers funeral expenses up to $7,000 and legal liability up to $20 million.
