Does Flight Centre travel insurance cover COVID-19? 

Yes, Flight Centre offers COVID-19 inclusions on its travel insurance policies, but these benefits come with conditions, sub-limits, and exclusions. Always read the PDS to get to know your coverage before signing up for a policy. 

What optional extras can I add to my Flight Centre policy?

Flight Centre offers both Snow Sports and Cruise insurance. If you’re adding either of these to your travel insurance policy, you will have to pay an additional premium. Without adding these optional extras, however, you won’t be covered if something goes wrong in the snow or the ocean.  

Are pre-existing medical conditions covered under Flight Centre’s travel insurance? 

Flight Centre covers a range of pre-existing medical conditions. In order to be covered under their policies, however, you must declare them in advance or run the risk of a claim being denied. Flight Centre’s PDS has an in-depth definition of what an existing medical condition is. 

Please note that some of the listed pre-existing conditions do have their own specific eligibility criteria, so read the PDS to work out if your pre-existing condition is covered. 

What do I do if there’s an emergency during my trip?

If you end up in an emergency, Flight Centre’s emergency assistance team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They have a toll-free number, and depending on where you’re calling from, can be reached on:

How do I make a claim with Flight Centre travel insurance? 

To make a claim, visit claims.covermore.com.au and follow the instructions. You will need to gather your supporting documents when making a claim, which can include receipts, police reports, medical bills, and other evidence which relates to your claim. Your claim can be submitted fully online, but if you need to post your supporting documents for any reason (like if you’re unable to scan them) then you can post them directly to Cover-More.

Is it possible to cancel my Flight Centre travel insurance policy? 

Flight Centre offers a cooling-off period of 21 days from the date you receive your certificate of insurance. As long as you have not yet started your journey or a claim, you may be entitled to a full refund of the premium you’ve paid. Even after the cooling-off period, you may still be able to cancel and receive a refund of the unused portion of your policy.

This doesn’t even deserve one star, pathetic excuse of a company. If you would prefer to throw your hard earned money down the drain go for it when purchasing this fraud of an “insurance”. The irony is they call themselves “cover more” when in fact they don’t cover SQUAT!!!! They don’t get back to you when sending emails, when on the phone they find any way possible not to cover you for things that you were told they would cover, they are SCAMMERS!! They do not provide any assistance but they’ll happily tell you lies when purchasing from them. I paid a premium for top coverage and they did absolutely NOTHING!!!!! Extremely expensive policy that didn’t do anything for me and was a waste of money. I will be sure to tell everyone to NEVER EVER EVER buy from this mob owned insurance company!!!!!

An average experience with Flight Centre.

Flight Centre were OK to deal with, not exceptional mind you. I flew to the US then travelled by train from San Francisco to New York. Luckily everything went pretty smoothly on the trip.
