A mortgage broker helped us secure a good interest rate. When compared with ANZ and National they had the best rate. In general banking, it can be a bit of a wait time if you want to talk to someone, but the Lismore branch is friendly and helpful. Westpac have resolved some disputed transactions for us. The new 2024 app is clunky compared to the old one. The homeloan package deal, ie no hidden fees is good too.

The tax office gave us the largest taxi bill of our lives when we’re not even rich and I cried for about a week before having to sort out 2 personal loans to pay for it. Westpac were so lovely in helping us work out the best method. This was so upsetting so they helped us work it All out.
Westpac is the best bank ever sadly they are not around as much as they use too be and we need too have more westpac stores because it is the best bank in history

Overall The platform has in-depth features and good charting functionality. The pro platform seems to use Iress Viewpoint which is good for day trading. Pricing is better than the other banks and more features than the low cost providers. I would recommend.
Westpac Bank Of Melbourne was combative and dismissive of my claim for earthquake damage to my property and I feel they knocked back claims to make the policy holder go to the Ombudsman and so delay payment -very cynical and underhanded treatment of the Insured after 10 yrs holding that policy and other house policies with them for twenty five years -they are not trustworthy
