Love AAMI, they give you a discount for adding multiple policies, have a great customer service team and easy to use. No issues!
I’ve been with AAMI since moving out of home, and I’m becoming increasingly dissatisfied due to the rising premium costs. I feel like it offers little value for money. I’m only with them because the claims process is easy, versus other insurers who I’ve heard don’t pay out. But I’m finding it difficult to afford AAMI.
My last renewal the cost of the insurance went up by $400 and I didn't make any claims. You are always hearing that you need to shop around so I did and the quotes that I received were what I was paying before the price hike or a little less. I ended up calling AAMI telling them what I found and after a 15 minute conversation back and forth with the cost I got my insurance cheaper than what they quoted me. Could not believe it so I stayed with them.
I like this insurance company as they're a breath of fresh air in the industry, have friendly staff and were $1200 cheaper than our previous insurer for the same insurance cover. We've got no regret ion changing over to them.
Our brick fence was damaged by the storms we had last year. On the other side of the wall I have two neighbours, a subdivided lot. One of the neighbours are secured with RAC and he got $6.500. The other neighbour and us very very UN-LUCKY been with AAMI were told that the wall was faulty. This wall was approved by council, and was build 20 years ago with no issues ever.
We've been an AAMI customer for approx 10 years now & in the past several years I've noticed them making silly errors on our annual insurance policy docs. which I've needed to call their service centres several times to have fixed ! This is unacceptable, unprofessional & reckless. As anyone will know that all info. on these docs. need to be correct & up to date or it will have repercussions on future claims ! AAMI would do better focusing on improving their customer service & systems before wasting millions on ridiculous little TV commercials & eye catching billboards. AAMI, get your act together - it may not so much pay off in dollars, but in reputation - which your are now loosing.
they increased by home and building policy at renewal time by 138% when called to ask why they just said that the assessment was correct , my father lives less than 1 km away from was only increased by 36% and when l questioned them about that they just kept on stating that my policy amount was correct and l lodge a official complaint and two weeks later received letter to saying reassessment correct - just policy line , did not renew with them after 30 years with them
Amazing insurance company have lots of products to choose from friendly people
They advertise on tv etc how good they are.. just wait until you want a claim, they will try every loop hole to not honour it. Stay away from aami
very bad communication re a claim assessors say one thing then report different lengthy delays in the whole process
We entrusted our home & contents insurance with this company for 15 years and the only one time we made a claim was when we noticed a few floor tiles were loose and water collecting in one corner of the shower. They sent out a plumber who did a thorough check all around our property and made a report that it was lack of maintenance as there was a leaking pipe under the tiles. We questioned the report and said we are unable to maintain something we cannot see but they refused to pay the claim. Do not trust them at all , they take your premiums regularly but will do everything not to pay out.
very bad, they refused to pay for my 3 claims, i already went to another honest company.
That should change their advertising UNLUCKY your with AAMI, stay away from this insurance company. After 3 months of putting a claim in still no closer to finalising. What a joke
