Provided a quote saying medical issues were covered. Then when went to purchase the insurance prior to the date of the quotation expiring, they said they'd changed the rules... They then put me through to customer service and said it was out of hours in that country and to phone back later. When I phoned back they wouldn't speak to me regarding the other passenger, even though it was okay for me to do the screening for them online earlier.
Unbelievably poor and incompetent service. Had my policy with Qantas and tried to extend whilst overseas with plenty of lead time. Despite numerous emails no response from them after the initial yes and fee quote. Tried calling for several days unable to get through then the same routine of questions, on hold , transfer and dropout. Finally got through after 5 days to be told cannot extend as had expired. They acknowledged they had received my emails and had no response as to why no reply from them. then told to buy new policy, on hold transferred and quoted double the initial cover price for half the number of days. What's disgrace their once proud company has become with lazy incompetent and heartless staff who only know to constantly repeat the same lines. Never again with Qantas for anything
Be aware that if Qantas cancels your flight due to operational requirements (which can mean for any reason) Qantas travel insurance WILL NOT cover you for reimbursement of any necessary additional accommodation and travel expenses.

Qantas are generally good with most travel concerns, even for a known or unknown, your flight gets cancelled, if you have Qantas travel cover, they will look after any occurring costs, extra stay in Hotel accommodation in any country outside Australia. Keep your travel ticket extended to the next available flight.
