  • No account fee

  • Unlimited phone and internet transactions

  • No debit card service fee

What's not:

  • $5 overseas ATM fees

Mozo snapshot:

Unless you're planning on storing your cash in a box under your bed, then you're likely looking for a bank account to keep your dollar dollar bills safe. There's a couple things you might want to look for in a bank account, ease of use, flexibility and a lack of fees. Luckily CUA's bank account provides all of these.

Key features:

The CUA Everyday Account has an aversion to fees, which is why you’ll pay no monthly account fees, or anything for over the counter deposits or withdrawals. You’ll also be able to access your account online or over the phone without paying a thing, while enjoying unlimited transactions using cheque or eftpos.

Your account comes with a CUA Visa Debit card, so you’ll be able to tap and go for your purchases with Visa payWAVE, Google Pay or Apple Pay. You’ll also be able to use your card overseas, but be aware of the $3.50 overseas ATM withdrawal fee and the 2.75% foreign exchange commission.

Who it's good for:

The CUA Everyday Account is a great choice for Australians looking for a simple everyday account with minimal fees and an extensive network of ATMs.

Any catches?

Like many other transaction accounts the CUA Everyday Account doesn’t offer an interest rate, but you will receive a bonus interest offer on a CUA eSaver Reward account if you deposit $1000 into your Everyday Account each month.

Good service, good products, low fees

CUA is a good alternative to the big 4. Only downfall in Queensland is that there are only a few branches outside the main cities. However this isn't too much of a problem due to internet banking. Customer service is also good.
