If you're on the hunt for a straight up credit card, and you're diligent about paying off your balance in full each month, the Virgin Money No Annual Fee card won't cost you a cent. Firstly, there is no annual fee for the life of the card, you get up to 55 interest free days on your purchases, and you can use the card anywhere in the world where Visa is accepted.
Aside from not having to pay any yearly fees, the Virgin Money No Annual Fee Credit Card also has a balance transfer offer of 0.00% p.a for the first 12 months, until 30 November 2020. Then, be diligent in paying it off in the intro period that you qualify for otherwise you'll find yourself paying the high cash advance rate of 20.99% until it's cleared.
Until 29 January 2021, purchases are also free for the first 12 months before reverting to 18.99%, while cash advances are charged at 20.99%. As long as you pay your balance in full each month, you'll get up to 55 days interest free.
When you use your Virgin Money credit card overseas you'll be charged a foreign currency exchange fee of 3.30% of the transaction amount.
There isn't a rewards program tied to the No Annual Fee card but fashionistas will be spoilt for choice with 2 colours available with this card.
Anyone that wants a no strings attached credit card for shopping online or in store may do well with this card.
It's worth pointing out again that with the Virgin Money No Annual Fee Card any remaining balance at end of the balance transfer intro period will get charged at the high 20.99% cash rate.

Bizarre application. I called to follow up my online application and was asked for my 5th previous residence (I couldn't recall the street number). Also I have had my electricity provider for the last 3 residences and he asked how about before that? I offered to give him my current address and he said not required!

Whilst the card has no annual fee and everything can be done via online, I found the whole application process to be so time consuming, they never had everything in order, had to send paperwork in multiple times, it took way longer than it should have and that still leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I have been dealing with Virgin Money with ease and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. When things got a bit hard to meet payment, they were great at providing me with other alternatives. I highly rate their customer service.
