August 2020 Financial Checklist
A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month, it’s August folks! Which means there’s just one month left of winter. Crazy to think that we’ve spent nearly two full seasons in lockdown! Anyhow, here’s another fab financial checklist chock-a-block full of tips and tricks to get you through the month.
Ladies and gentlemen, we give you your fave Financial Checklist: August 2020 edition!
Celebrate National Financial Awareness Day
Mark your calendars boys and girls, on Friday the 14th of August it’s National Financial Awareness Day! This special day is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of building financial stability in order to prepare for a strong financial future.
Set aside some time to reevaluate your current spending habits and look for ways to improve them. A great place to start is by setting some clear financial/savings goals and then creating a solid budget that reflects these goals and will help you work towards them.
Find out your pandemic shopping type
We pretty much all know our astrological sign (and no, it hasn’t changed) and/or personality type, but do you know what your personal shopping type is? The Coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted the way in which we go about our day-to-day lives, like the way we all shop, for example.
Each person reacts differently in a crisis - some will go into flight mode, while others will go in to fight. Over the past few months, we’ve seen the emergence of four distinct types of ‘pandemic shoppers’: stockpiler’s (a.k.a the toilet paper hoarders), bargain hunters, socially conscious shoppers and the convenience seekers. Click the link to find out which pandemic shopper you are.
Spoil yourself with a new set of wheels
If COVID-19 spoilt your 2020 Europe trip then why not spoil yourself to a new set of wheels instead? Hear me out: the future’s not looking great for international travel. So unless you’re willing to wait ‘til 2021, then the closest you’ll get to the Autobahn is a new automobile.
We’re not saying go out tomorrow and buy a brand new BMW. But if your current cars’ living on borrowed time and you chose a Contiki tour instead of an upgrade, then the universe might be telling you to reconsider.
If you need a little inspo, here’s a quick rundown on the top five most popular cars in Australia for June 2020 and how you might go about financing each of them.
