May 2022 Financial Checklist
A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month - it’s May! And with Mother’s Day, the end of the financial year and Taurus season all coming up, there’s a lot to get through.
Your May 2022 Financial Checklist awaits:
1. Spoil mum for less than $100 this Mother’s Day
With Mother’s Day coming up on Sunday, the 8th of May, time’s quickly slipping away to plan the perfect surprise for mum.
Contrary to what you may think, you don’t need to drop a tonne of cash to show mum how much you love her. The gift of quality time is priceless! Why not take her on a lovely picnic by the water or do a DIY spa day at home?
But if you do want to get something for mum that she can unwrap, check out these Mother’s Day gift ideas for under $100.
2. Get prepared for the EOFY
I know what you’re thinking - “But it’s only May!” Precisely. Which means the new financial year is almost here.
There’s nothing worse than scrambling at the last minute for tax receipts and missing information that you need for your tax return. So, do yourself a favour and get yourself organised ahead of time.
You might also want to think about whether there are any big purchases you’d like to make (like a new car or laptop for work) before the financial year ends.
3. Curb the cost of living crisis
Ah, yes - the cost of living crisis. With petrol, housing and grocery prices going berserk - in 2022, the rising cost of living is a very real thing.
And while the rising CPI (Consumer Price Index) might be out of your control, there are many things you can do to help stay afloat financially during this difficult time - like cutting down your energy use or buying groceries online.
4. What’s coming to Netflix Australia in May 2022
Name one thing more annoying than sitting down to eat in front of the telly and having your food go cold before you even pick something to watch - we’ll wait.
Not to worry, we’ve got you sorted for the next month! From Stranger Things Season 4 (Volume 1) to Love on the Spectrum U.S., loads of epic titles (both new and returning) are coming to Netflix Australia in May 2022 - go check out the full list!
5. Take a chance this Taurus season
Happy birthday Taurus! We know how much you love presents, so our gift to you this year is a special message from the Mozo Magic 8-ball.
If one thing’s for sure, it’s that our Taurus friends thrive on stability. But that shouldn’t mean passing up on all the fab opportunities coming your way this year.
When it concerns your career and finances, try to go with the flow and take a chance on something new in 2022, Taurus. It could be as simple as opening a bank account with a neobank.
