QBE Comprehensive Car Insurance is hitting some winners straight off the bat. A wide range of events and support are covered as standard, including accidental damage, fire and theft, weather damage, essential repairs up to $500, and emergency transport and accommodation up to $1,000.
Reasonable towing costs will also be covered after an incident and if you’ve been in a not-at-fault accident, QBE will also sort you out for a hire car while your ride is being repaired or replaced. New car drivers can cruise easy knowing there is new-for-old car replacement if your vehicle is written off (so long as it’s under three years old and has driven less than 60,000km).
There are a few things you’ll only be able to access at an additional cost. You’ll need to decide if you want to opt-in for hire car cover after an at fault accident or weather event, and for excess-free windscreen replacement (excess-free repairs included in standard cover). The ability to choose your repairer is also available as an optional extra.

This comprehensive policy will suit any driver looking for expansive cover. However, it could be particularly good for new car owners, as the new-for-old replacement covers cars which have driven a substantial 60,000km and are up to three years old.

Originally paid $530 for my first policy. Incredible!! AFter making a claim my 2nd year was over $1000. Not sure if the hike was because of the claim and or just general price increase. Still, $1000 is pretty good. My claim was smooth. Will stay with QBE.

Terrible experience with Qbe. Do not insure with them. Have been a policy holder for several years, no claims. The one time I go to make a claim and they delay delay and delay when they know that every day I was losing money. Three weeks later they are still asking the same questions in different ways. This is their game/ plot to make you wait till you end up paying for repairs yourself. I’ve lost three weeks worth of work and still have to pay for the machine to be repaired. A massive that I provided full maintenance record including one prior to the fire in the machine by only a few weeks, photos, videos, a mechanic report supporting the issue with the fire and still playing games. Would not release the money. Despicable, highly incompetent and disgraceful company. Do not insure with them they will not pay if it comes time to needing it.

Stay away QBE is by far the worst insurance company they do not care about their customers. You are just another transaction to them They will do anything to get money out of you

I have been pretty happy with QBE. I have had one issue with them and they said sorry and help fix the issue. Overall their coverage is good. Excellent customer services. Their price is pretty economical and they help with suggestion when ever they can .

Insurance premium went up 46% from last year. Called to update some policy details but after 45 minutes hung up. A slap in the face for a long term customer with multiple policies. :(
