Left a major bank to join the Capricornian about 20 years ago as they were offereing competitive rates and great services compared the big banks. In this time the Capricornian have closed most branches in Rockhampton, leaving only 2 available branches. Given they are not a bank they do not have an operational swift code to receive overseas deposits. Cheque Deposits made via their Western Union service take up to 8 weeks to clear and the communication during the process is lacklustre. Six years ago overseas cheques would clear within 25 days, they now hold the funds for a full 8 weeks before releasing the funds. Disappointing.
